I assume you have a bootable device with Windows 10 on it. Now follow the step by step instruction to reset windows 10 device without password.
Insert the bootable USB Drive to Windows 10 device
First, insert bootable USB to your device on which you want to perform reset. You can insert the USB device on the front panel or back panel of your device.
If this is a laptop you will find the USB port in the right and left side of the device.
Restart your Windows 10 device
If you Windows 10 device (computer or laptop) is already turned on you need to restart it or if you Windows 10 device is turned Off you need to turned on your device. In order, to start your device with the bootable USB device.
Go to advanced troubleshooting option
Keep pressing the Esc or shift button on your device for the advanced troubleshooting option.
Now your device will show the following option on your screen.
In the list of option choose Troubleshoot to go next screen.
On the Troubleshoot page you will be given two option Reset this PC and Advanced options. Here select Reset this PC, this will take you to the next page.
Reset Windows 10 Device
On the Rest this PC page, you will be given the following two options:
- Keep my files (this option will remove Windows Apps and Windows Setting but no changes made to your personal files
- Remove everything (this option will remove everything in the C Drive, all the Windows apps, setting and the personal files.
Here you must click on Remove everything option because this option only remove the account details from your device.
If you choose Keep my files option this will retain all the account details and again ask you for the password for the same user account you have.
Now you will get the following screen which will show you the percentage of Windows 10 reset process. In this process your PC may restart few times, once reset process will complete you will get the Windows login screen.
